Background

I have almost 30 years experience in education and psychology. This has included work as a deputy head teacher and special needs coordinator of a large city primary school.

In 1995 I qualified as an educational psychologist and subsequently worked as a senior educational psychologist in Nottingham City, with responsibility for children and young people in public care.

In 2005 I gained a doctorate in applied psychology with the University of Nottingham.

Current Situation

I am currently an Educational Psychologist (Senior Practitioner) with Nottingham City Community Educational Psychology Service. I also provide training and consultancy nationally

Current interests include action research (especially in relation to challenging assumptions and improving practice for young people with severe communication impairments), graphic facilitation processes and effective inclusion practice.
